void

ok, so you will no doubt be pleased to hear that recyclebot (he is the robot i found in entry #36) has totally recovered from his electronic depression. look, you can see the difference:

now that we have nothing to do, prepare for or worry about for a week or so we can just lie around the house listening to music (mostly elliott smith and the black keys and the new ed harcourt cd) and watching the sky through the roof window thing. it is a situation that quickly leads to a kind of inner clam calm that negates any other emotions. i corrected that spelling but having an inner clam that eats dodgy emotions could be sort of good except you would have to keep it wet and eat a lot of salt or something to keep it going.

anyway, that is also the perfect way to see in the autumn. normally, as a former physics student, i would be really pedantic about saying that it is autumn in the northern hemisphere before the equinox but this year it is different. autumn started yesterday here in london when the temperature dropped and the winds started but it is still sort of sunny so it is nice to be warm indoors and just looking outside at the clouds scooting across the pale blue sky.

it must be pretty clear that doing nothing has made my writing a bit weirder. normally i would just write about the things that i have seen while i have been walking about or something but now that i have not needed to go out or anything for a few days i have nothing even semi real to write about. i suppose it is an opportunity to see inside my imagination / dream world.

paul.
