begin again

so i took a bit of time off from updating this place to concentrate on other things. ok, i am just kidding - i couldn't be bothered really. however, now i am back with a new template which links seamlessly with my website and looks not too bad. i got pretty pissed off with the whole website thing but now i have cut it down to just drawings i am happy again.

anyway, since my last entry the following things have happened: my place has been infested with ants (if you are a regular you will know that i was infested with mice earlier in the year), a lot of people in my family have become obsessed with the magic roundabout (the 60s TV show) and i have been filling out job applications and sending them to people so they can throw them away and ignore me.

filling in application forms in the twenty first century is a battle of buzz-words. in the list of people attributes that employers send out they keep using words that don't really mean anything. how am i supposed to convince them that i am "dynamic" or "pro-active" or whatever when these are made up words that bosses use in meetings to make themselves look smart. ok, so i am fighting back with my own idiot work phrases like "transferable skills" and "give me a job so i can get a proper haircut you reality tv watching, septic brained moron." i think it is going to work.

actually i am starting to enjoy my unemployment hair. i really couldn't care less about having a cool haircut so i have cultivated a sort of permanent hat hair using a hat. if your hair is sort of sticking up and irregular then you can survive in almost any situation because you will blend in perfectly with tramps (it is what we call hobos in england), indie people and people who think they are cool. this accounts for basically everyone i need to talk to so it is a good lesson to learn: hat hair - every day is a good day.

ok, so next time i will get back in the zone (another buzz-word victory) and write something that is maybe worth reading.

paul.
