ok, so yesterday i discovered an internet disaster. i was not feeling too happy so i went to drew.corrupt.net to read some of the old archives but they had all been deleted. for those of you who have not been around the internet too long, drew's old weblog was the second best thing on the entire internet. it was violent and coffee fueled and sometimes it was pretty funny but now it is all gone. fortunately, i know how to do some interesting internet things so i managed to salvage some of the pages and you can do the same:
go to google and type in drew.corrupt.net arch. then go to the last page of listings and click on display omitted results. google will then show you every drew archive page left in it's cache. do not click on the links, instead click on each cache link to view the pages. most of the good stuff is gone and the rest will go soon so be quick about it.
anyway, discovering that the internet has lost the drew weblog is like waking up to a dog egg on your doorstep. oh, and in case you were wondering, the best thing on the internet is still explodingdog but then if you are a potential internet superstar you will already know that.
the internet is not all bad though. a lot of people will tell you that the internet is getting less interesting because of the lack of fresh ideas and new talent but these people are forgetting that in the halcyon days of the internet the best new thing to appear was the hampsterdance website. doo doo dodoo doo doo doo, doo doo doodoo ... SHUT THE F*&$ UP.
now i am happy again.
