out of the maelstrom

ok, so first of all it is a landmark day for my website as i have just finished my 100th palmtop drawn picture and it will be going up sometime next week. i put pictures up every day so it has not taken too long to reach this number but i have impressed myself that i have (a) not given up and (b) managed to think of 100 different retarded ideas for pictures of robots or bees or weird looking blobs. however, when i look back at the earlier pictures i can hardly stand to look at them because the pictures that i thought were good actually seem pretty bad compared with what i am doing now. i suppose it is a good sign as it means i am improving (whether anyone else thinks so is another matter entirely).

anyway, i am also feeling very pleased with myself because yesterday, for only the second time ever, i had a lump of fluff in my belly-button. it is something many people have to contend with on a near daily basis but my navel is not conducive to fluff just like my ears are the wrong shape for crappy in-ear headphones. the earphone thing has an advantage though - i do not have to put up with horrible tinny versions of songs that should have thumping or throbbing bass and also my big headphones have a long cable so i do not have to stay within 1 metre of the socket. it means i have much more freedom for idiot dancing, spinning round on my chair or tripping over. (tripping over the cable mostly.)

other than these two monumental events it has been a quiet week of dreaming and other simple pursuits. it is not too shocking considering this is my 29th diaryland entry and so far i have written nothing about anything. it is a testament to living the dream or something.

paul.

p.s. in the real world: there are crows everywhere - it is like "the birds" around here.
