environment

ok, as usual we will start off with some random things concerning previous entries. so i have changed my mind about linking my website to my diaryland site. the language here is not too bad and there is nothing very offensive so i think it should be ok. anyway, the absolute worst thing that can happen is that i end up destroying the universe but i think that is pretty unlikely so i am not going to worry about it to much.

so the garden frogs have all gone away to find somewhere else to live and the house mice are all gone too. it is a good thing that it is springtime and there are lots of other animals around or i would be lonely without them. yesterday i was watching a ladybird (it is what we call ladybugs in england) wander outside in the garden. it was black with four red heart shaped spots on it and it kept coming in and sitting right in the doorway where it would get squashed if i shut the door. i really really hate killing wild things even though i am not vegetarian or anything so i was watching it for ages waiting for it to piss off so i could shut the door. i seem to have some sort of weird connection with the environment and yesterday i finally figured out why.

so i sometimes read one of the film magazines that comes out in the uk and it had a advert in it because on monday the dvd of fraggle rock is released here. if you are not old enough to remember fraggle rock (and i am only just old enough) it was a jim henson muppet thing with a whole load of characters and it was secretly all about the environment because all the characters depended on the other characters to survive. i think it was probably the only sort of environmental show that i grew up with (and it had the most awesome theme tune of any show apart from maybe thundercats) so it must be where i got my sense of living on the earth instead of living in the world. having said all that, the show may actually be not so good because things always seemed better when i was a kid - and bigger too. sometimes it is best not to cling on to your childhood too much.

next update: saturday (experiments)
