aaagahgagaghh, my eyes

today was recycling day again. coincidentally i was out sort of early just like this time last week when i found recyclebot but i did not have time to look for more robots. i think it would be too hazardous to have more than one around the house anyway. i had to rush off into town to sort out some business but that is not what i want to write about.

ok, so when i had finished what i had to do i started wandering around the record shops and things. it is sometimes interesting to stare at the stuff that other people are buying because most people are buying crap music and deep down they know it's crap and so they look really uncomfortable. someday they will learn that the internet is perfect for buying embarrassing records because it is almost anonymous and there is no eye contact or anything. i was trying to find a cheap copy of the current album by elbow but most places where i live are too expensive so i just left.

then came the good and then bad things. while i was still in town i saw an old guy with long white hair and a long white beard. i think he looked more like merlin than santa (even though they are both made up characters so it a matter of conjecture) and he was fascinating but i did not want to spoil the illusion by staring at him or anything so i just turned away and let him float off or something.

anyway, after seeing merlanta i was in a pretty good mood so i walked home by the park where there are normally dog walking people and etc but as i walked past the gate i saw something that made me want to tear my eyes out and drop an encyclopaedia on them. it was a lecherous fat guy jogger wearing only his trackie bottoms and trainers and he only had a little bit of long greasy hair at the back of his head. he scared off the woman jogger who was near him and i am not surprised because his image is now burned into my brain and it is not pretty.

ok, so it is lucky for you that i did not have my digital camera on me or you would have to see him in all his sweaty glory (it is like car crash tv or a dead fox that you cannot help but look at) but i have to get it out of my head so i have drawn a picture of him on my palmtop. i think it is a pretty good likeness:

fair play to him for trying to lose some weight though.

paul

p.s. since everyone seems to love recyclebot i will make some stuff with him on it for next time.
