it is ok, i am not dead i have just not been able to write anything for a week because of ... um ... laziness. at least i am honest about it and not making up an excuse like i had to go into space on a secret esa mission (although that would have been pretty great).
right, first off i admit that i got a little carried away last month about the latest cd from the shins. i made some claims both here and other places about it being the best thing that i will hear all year. this was wrong of me and i am holding my hands up because since then it has been surpassed by both jawbone and iron + wine (i do not know his website, sorry). my love of all things bluesy can even wipe the floor with good pop like the shins. all in all, it is a pretty good start to the year - the pile of cd's next to my computer is a musical feast.
ok, so i have been spending the rest of my time trying to find places who might like to link to my website. the number of visitors has dropped off now that i do not have any diaryland advert banners left. i do not mind too much but every now and again i make a picture on my palmtop that is not too bad and then only a few people ever get to see it. however, i have not been able to find a market for palmtop pictures anywhere because they do not qualify as a comic and everyone who has anything to do with digital art or palmtop stuff is way too serious for pictures of wobbly bees eating out of cans. in conclusion, i have found nowhere but anyway i am not too interested in advertising - that is not what the internet is about. it is all about being creative to ninja extremes.
it must be pretty obvious that not much is going on around here right now but, in fact, what could be better than enjoying the springtime and birds singing and lying on the grass, dreaming and feeling your bad brain demons floating away from you on the wind.
